How Travel Became My Lifelong Passion
My love for travel started from a deeply personal place. Arriving in Australia as a refugee over 30 years ago, travel wasn’t about vacations or luxury—it was about reconnecting with family, culture, and a sense of belonging. At 10 years old, I took my first overseas trip back to Cambodia, my birth country. That journey opened my eyes to the richness of different cultures, the power of new experiences, and the way travel gives life more meaning.
Since then, exploring the world has been a core part of who I am. Every destination, from bustling cities to hidden gems, has shaped my perspective and deepened my appreciation for the world’s diversity. But along the way, I also realized that travel could be easier, more efficient, and more sustainable—if only we had the right tools.
